We focus on these types of services based businesses:

Size:
$5-50 million in revenue with a minimum of $2 million in profit.

Industry:
Essential services whereby the product offering is a “need to have” vs. a “nice to have”. Prime examples include business and consumer services with a focus on home services such as hvac, plumbing, pest control, etc.

Customer Base:
Low customer concentration / high degree of repeat customers or contractual revenue.

Profitable History:
At least 5-years of sustained profitability with signs of growth each year.

Management:
We will assume an advisory role supporting the existing management team, which we ask to commit to staying onboard and accelerating growth.

Reason for Selling:
Most often to buy out passive shareholders, take some chips off the table and bring in growth capital for the next chapter.
Our Founder
Matt McGarry, Founder, grew up in Metro Detroit, his father a controller in the automotive industry and mother a teacher. After college, he spent time in New York and Chicago before setting down roots in Southeast Michigan to raise a family of his own and dedicate his career to the advancement of local small businesses, their employees, and their customers.
Previously, Matt spent nearly 15-years in various professional services organizations such as The Royal Bank of Scotland, KeyBanc Capital Markets, MATH Venture Partners, and Accelerated Assets. He served as an advisor, investor, and small business manager helping companies of all sizes maximize value through strategic and financial initiatives.
Matt earned his BS in Finance from Miami University and MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he was a Zell Fellow focused on Entrepreneurship through Acquisition.
If you are looking for Matt outside of the office, he is on a date night with his wife, playing street hockey with his sons, or on the golf course, ski slopes, or ice rink - depending on the season.
